The rear suspension is a proven pivot ball design with a floating rear body mount to provide a constant amount of downforce to the suspension.

Hardened steel quick-change axles are standard, along with spring steel dogbones and threaded shocks.

Centax-style clutch is standard, along with a 7075 machined aluminum clutch bell...an upgrade on other cars.

The receiver is completely enclosed and protected in the RX box. Note the spill guard on the 125cc fuel tank.

The motor mount uses 6 screws to prevent the chassis from bending during an impact. The 7075 chassis is also vented for additional engine cooling.

The XR/8 is designed to bring new drivers into 1/8 racing at a 1/10-car price. With the low price, however, comes a slew of futures you would find on other more expensive cars. The XR/8 isn't designed to be just inexpensive, however...it will be competitive at any on-road racetrack in the country. The front of the car features an adjustable roll center for finding that balance at almost any track, and the chassis is stiffened across the engine's left side. Even the bumper is "bent" upward out of the box to prevent dragging when the ever-present wall is hit. Serpent-style wheels are used, and Mugen adaptors will be available as an aftermarket part.
